Velma Jean Ellis

Velma Jean Ellis 80 of Chauncey, departed this life Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Logan Regional Medical Center.  She was born July 10, 1934 in Stiltner, WV to the late Henderson and Lydia (Rice) Perry.  She was a homemaker and a member of the New Beginnings Community Church at Varney.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her grandparents, husband Cletis Ellis, one grandson Ronnie Young Jr., one sister; Alberta Johnson and one daughter-in-law Oneida Young.  Those left to cherish her memories are three sons; Ronnie young of Switzer, Cletis (Jennifer) Ellis of Chapmanville and Lyndon (Robin Cook) Bragg of Man, one daughter; Frankie Bragg of Chauncey, two sisters; Vada Crum and Linda Perry both of Chauncey, seven grandchildren; Rhonda Mullins, Timmy, Jeffrey and Kala Wiley, Scott and Nick Ellis and Crit Bragg, and four great-grandchildren; Noah and Kyle Mullins and Amelia and Nora Wiley.  Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold McMillen Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Jerry Williams Cemetery at Wilsondale. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 PM Monday, April 27th, at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.   Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is in charge of the arrangements.  Condolences can be left at www.collinsfuneralhomewv.com
