Thurman McCoy

Thurman McCoy 90, of Verdunville departed this life Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in Pikeville Medical Center.  He was born August 30, 1927 in Hetzel, WV to the late Patrick Henry and Georgia Williams McCoy.  He was a soldier in the U.S. Army; a Carpenter for Logan Planning Mill and of Church of God Faith.  In addition to his parents his wife Parlee McCoy precedes him in death. He is survived by two sons; Richard McCoy of Logan and Keith McCoy of Beckley, five daughters; Violet McCoy of Verdunville, Sharon Morrow of Stollings, Peggy Baker of Chapmanville, Patsy Hall of Dunlow and Lisa Southers of Logan, twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In honoring his request, a private family service was held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 02, 2017 at the Collins Funeral Home Service Chapel with Pastor Doug Sparks officiating.
