Ruth Deliah Salmons

Ruth Deliah Salmons, 72 of Switzer, WV departed this life on September 19, 2026, at Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, WV. She was born on May 14, 1954, in Logan, WV and was the daughter of the late Emory and Gladys Meadows Damron.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Salmons; daughter, Carolyn Simpkins; two brothers, Douglas Damron and James Damron; two sisters, Marie Cooper and Margrette Copeland; nephew, Douglas Copeland; and sister-in-law, Mary Buron Stephanie Damron.

Those left to remember and love her includes one son, Russell Roark; daughter in law, Wendy Roark; five granddaughters, Larissa Roark, Miranda Roark, Cara Simpkins, Chloe Simpkins, and Emily Simpkins; three great grandchildren, Weslyn Roark, Olivia Mikulski, and Owen Mikulski; two brothers, Gary and Pat Damron; ex-husband, Larry Roark; and multiple nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, September 28, 2026, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Switzer, WV with Rev. Robert Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV. Pallbearers will include James Roark, Edward Stapleton, David Damron, Theodore McCoy, Monroe McCoy, and Gary Damron.

A visitation will be held two hours prior starting at 11:00 am.
