Ronald Hughes

Ronald Hughes, 90, of Cow Creek (Omar), WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022, at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 11th, 1932, in Smithtown, KY to the late Charles and Dora (Griffith) Hughes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouse, what would have been of seventy-one years on April 21st, Evelene Mae (Pennington) Hughes; two sons, Gregory Hughes and Delbert Hughes; three brothers, Herman, Eugene, and Kenneth Hughes; and two sisters, Marie Elkins and Maxine Richardson.

 

Those left to cherish his memory includes one son, Ed Hughes; two daughters, Brenda (Al) Solomon and Glenna (Greg) Mayhorn; one brother, Laymon Hughes; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and one of many special nieces, Leona Hughes Chafin.

 

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm, Thursday, April 7th, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charlie Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Chapmanville, WV. Pallbearers will include family and friends.

 

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, April 6th, 2022, also at the chapel of Collins Funeral Home.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Collins Funeral Home Inc. of Switzer, WV.
