Rodie Ricqueze Hatfield

August 16, 1922 — December 17, 2017

Rodie Ricqueze Hatfield, 95, of Roanoke, VA, formerly of Barnabus, went to be his heavenly home on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Richfield Recovery and Care in Salem, Virginia.  He was a Mason, Army Veteran, and Retired Coal Miner. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Pomeroy, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Elliot Hatfield and Hazel Newsome Hatfield; Son, Rodie Randall Hatfield; Brother, Hugh Hatfield; Sister, Mabel Grobol.  Surviving are his Four Daughters, Barbara May (Tommy), Hilda Trent (George), Peggy Smith and Suzanne Kaye Mullins (Charlie); 13 Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren; Brother Billy Joe Hatfield; Sister, Betty Jane Stragno (Steve); Numerous nieces and nephews, all who loved him dearly.  Service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Matthew Tackett officiating.   Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20th from 6 to 9 PM at the Funeral Home.  Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is overseeing the services.  Condolences may be left @ www.collinsfuneralhomewv.com./
