Robin (Farris) Collins

Robin (Farris) Collins, 58, of Hurricane, WV departed this life January 4th, 2022, at Charleston Area Medical Center (Teays Valley Division). She was born on November 26th, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Charles and Lois (Coney) Farris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father- in- law, Perdita, and Hubert Collins; and one sister, Cheri Leyes.

She was a massage therapist, sign language teacher, and autism specialist. She was also a member at the Teays Valley Baptist Church. She was a formal resident of Chapmanville, WV and graduated from Chapmanville High School, Class of 1983.

Those left to cherish her loving memory includes her husband of thirty-eight years, David Collins; two daughters, Tasha (Dustin) Bonar and Rebecca Collins; three brothers, Charles Farris, Gary (Michelle) Farris, and Larry Farris; five sisters, Cindy (Bill) Burtsich, Janice (Monty) Conley, Regina (Dencil) Scarberry, Char (Paul) Lerch, and Lurleen (Roger) Smith; and one grandchild, Christina Collins.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday, January 8th, 2022, at Teays Valley Baptist Church (3926 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, WV 25526).

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 9th, 2022, at Morning Star Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Estep and Rev. Van Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Barker Cemetery. Pallbearers will include family and friends.
