Robert Junior Bob Smith

Robert Junior “Bob” Smith 83, of Logan departed this life Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Logan Regional Medical Center.  He was born March 31, 1931 in Stirrat to the Late John and Blanche (Hale) Smith.  He was a Welder for the Chrysler Corporation, a member of the Neighbert United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army Corpal, member of the Beni-Kedem Shriners of Charleston, a member of Logan Chapter #60 Order of the Eastern Star Past Patron, member of Aracoma Lodge #99 Masons 32nd Degree Master Mason Scottish Rite, and Logan Commandery #26 Knights Templar Sir Knight Robert Junior Smith.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Gloria D. (Meadows) Smith, grandparents, one son; Norman David Smith, three brothers; Franklin, John and Dale Smith, and two sisters; RuthaMae Davis and Cleo Smith.  He is survived by one son; Gregory S. (Robyn) Smith of Switzer, one daughter; Sherry (Roger) May of Omar, one brother; Earl (Linda) Smith of
Stirrat, one sister; Diane (Harless) Farley of Stirrat, three grandchildren; Anthony Scott (Kimberly) May S.Sgt. Stationed in Pope Airfield in NC, Adrian Nicholas May of Omar and Memphis Raine Smith of St. Albans , two great-grandchildren; Maggie Grace May and Mollie Kathleen May of NC and three step-grandchildren;  Morgan Mattas, Julia-Faith Mattas and Joseph McKnight all of Switzer.  Services will be held 12:00 P.M. Monday, September 15, 2014 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Meadows officiating.  Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM. Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the funeral home.   Pallbearers will be family and friends.
