Rita Smith

Rita Preece-Smith Rita departed for her heavenly home December 8th, 2020. Rita was born June 3rd, 1957 to Naaman (Jack) Preece and Aline Preece both of Verdunville, WV. She was proceeded in death by her Mother, Aline Preece, Husband, James Smith, Son, Mitchell Smith, Brother, Patrick Butch Preece, Sister Patty Preece, Step Brother, Kevin Akers, Daughter In-law Brandi Smith and grandparents, uncles and aunts.

Rita loved her three sons and leaves behind James Smith JT (Misty), Chad Smith (Brandi), Granddaughters Elisha Smith and Jeannette Smith, Father,Naaman Preece (Mary), Sister Sheila Preece-Cain (Joe), Nephew Brandon Pritchard (Courtney), Niece Kala Ocampo (Jose), Niece, Diana Cross (Steven), Best Friend Anita Houck and her partner in life David Spry. She had a passion for horses and loved animals. She and James loved the lake and the outdoors and raised their sons to appreciate the beautiful mountains of WV Rita always tried to make everyone else feel better about life and had a kind heart towards others. She will be missed and loved far beyond death.

Her family will have a memorial and will announce the details once arrangements are complete. Her remains will be placed with her husband and son. All donations should be made directly to Collins Funeral Home.
