Rickey H. Johnson

Rickey H. Johnson, 55 of Baisden, WV passed away on Sunday, June 18th, 2023. He was born on October 31st, 1967, in Welch, WV and was the son of Deloris New and the late Obed Johnson.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-three years who he loved and missed more than anything, Melinda Lou (Mounts) Johnson and his brother, Rodney Johnson.

Rickey loved his family more than life. He worked as a logger.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his two sons, JJ (Carrie) Johnson and Josh (Kaitlyn) Johnson; four grandchildren, Morgan, Baylee, Grayson, and Myles Johnson; one brother, Bernard Lee Johnson; two sisters, Annette (Chuckie) Morgan and Tiny Johnson; special friends, Lionel Browning, Clark Blackburn, Timmy Cline, Larry White, and Spade Sparks; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, June 23^rd, 2023, at Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer in Hampden, WV.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 24^th, 2023, also at the church with Timmy Cline, Clark Blackburn, and Learmon Mounts officiating. Burial will follow in My Heart Cemetery in Baisden, WV. Pallbearers will include family and friends.
