Reverend William “Andy” Maynard of Millersburg, OH formerly of Delbarton, WV went to his heavenly home on Monday, August 7, with courage and grace after fighting many illnesses. His loving wife Shelia (Taylor) Maynard of 43 years and his dearest son surrounded him: Andy J. (Brittany) Maynard and his treasured grandchildren he loved and cherished Drew and Hannah. Andy was born in Holden to the Late Hi and Virginia (McCoy) Maynard on August 22, 1952. He is surrounded by three brothers; John Henry (Janice) Maynard, David and Darrel Maynard, four sisters; Alma Rae Curry, C-Ann Hardin, Judy Taylor and Yvonne (Roger) Davis. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Berry Ooten and Sister Maxine Kidd. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Andy graduated from Lenore High School and earned his BSN degree at a Freewill Baptist College Church in Nashville, TN. Andy was a dedicated Pastor of the Monahill Memorial freewill Baptist Church in Logan, WV for 28 years. Everyone who knew him loved him. Visitation will be August 10, 2017 starting at 6:00 P.M. at Monahill Memorial Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Joseph Vance and Brother Curtis Booth officiating. Funeral services are August 11, 2017at 1:00 P.M. at the church. Burial will follow in the Estep Cemetery on Duncan Fork, WV. Andy was a devoted Christian, husband, loving father and a friend to everyone who knew him. Collins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
