Oather Kenneth "Bud" Baisden Sr.


Oather Kenneth “Bud” Baisden Sr.  71 of Sarah Ann Went home to be with the Lord Tuesday March 03, 2015.  He was born August 05, 1943 in Logan to the late James Boyd and Gertrude (Thornhill) Baisden.  He was an avid believer in God, a mechanic that enjoyed working on vehicles, fishing, racing hunting and the outdoors but most of all enjoyed spending his time with his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends.   In addition to his parents and grandparents he is also preceded in death by two brothers; Robert and Claude Baisden and three sisters; Ethel Carey, Sarah Baldwin and Dorothy Williams.  Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife and best friend Ang (Ellis) Baisden, five sons; Oather “Big Budro” (Debbie) Baisden Jr. of Stirrat, Steve Baisden of Sarah Ann, Jimmy (Martha) Baisden of McConnell, Carl Dale (Christi) Baisden of Peach Creek and Allen Baisden of Sarah Ann, two daughters; Kim (Josh) Curry of Omar and Marie Woodruff of Huntington, three sisters; Juanita (Sam) Lucas of SC, Lena May (Gene) of FL and Edna (Ike) Ellis of Bluefield eight grandchildren; Budro Kenneth Baisden having three sons Brock,  Braxton, and Bryson, Micheal Baisden, Kashanna Lynn Mckinney having one son and two daughters Thomas, Skylar and Riley, Cody (Arri) Baisden having one daughter; Stacia, Hayli Brooke Baisden, Taryn Jo Baisden, Julie Cook and Hope Cook, his best friend Danny Callaway and host of other family and friends that will miss him dearly.   Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 07, 2015 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Hicks officiating.  Burial will follow in Chauncey Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 PM Friday, March 06 at the Funeral Home. Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is in charge of the arrangements.  Condolences may be left at www.collinsfuneralhomwv.com.

My heart aches i lost a good friend and the best uncle anyone could ask for i know we are 431 miles away but i would come to you when u called and needed me bud was the type of man no matter how sorry someone was he would still try and find some good in them i use to say uncle bud really and he would smile and say nancy it will all work out u just gotta put it in the lords hands i remember he would pray for mom when she was so sick and i woulld cry cause he had a bond with the lord IDont see to often he was close to the lord he was a good person he tried to help everyone he was loved by many im sure gonna miss u uncle bud and i love u take care of my mom im sure her and benji and the rest are very happy to see u until we meet again love nancy

To a wonderful great uncle heard many storys growing up good ones to say from grandma ur sister she sure loved her baby brother u were the greatest and i must agree uncle bud i know i was ur favorite kaileigh cuzz u was mine i cryed so bad thought u would never leave but u did ill be there if the weather lets us if not ill be there soon to still visit u i love u the girls (ur fav. Kaileigh bollman) crystal bre destiny

I was so sorry to hear about Bud, he was a real good friend to my Husband Richard Runyon, they would go fishing and enjoyed spending time together. I really thank God for Bud & Marty they were the one who introduced Richard and me and I could never thank them enough for that. I will be praying for the family and friends of Bud because I know he will be greatly missed. If there is anything I can do please let me know.. I love each and every one of you and will be praying for God to comfort you all. Love & Prayers

So sorry to hear about bud, he was a sweet man , ill never forget what he told me before me and jeff got married , he had always looked up with a smile on his face my heart was so broken when I heard about his passing , and to all the family may god wrap his arms around you all ..our thoughts and prayers are with you all ..
