Noah A. Jacobs 76, a longtime resident of Switzer, WV passed away on February 15, 2023, surrounded by his family at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown, SC.  Noah, as he was known to many in the area, was born January 14th, 1947, in Monaville, WV to Homer and Lydia Margaret Jacobs of Mt. Gay, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sally (Chafin) and siblings Homer and Charlie Jacobs.  Noah spent his last years as a resident of Pawleys Island, SC.

 

Noah was a proud U.S. Army veteran.  He enlisted in the U.S. Army and saw action in Vietnam.  He had many stories of his time serving his country.  The U.S. Army recognized Noah for his honorable service with a Purple Heart. 

 

Those left to cherish his loving memory include his son, Chris (Dorothy) Jacobs; three daughters, Cheri (Lance) Coleman, Jamie (Greg) Hill, and Cristy (Michelle) Jacobs; three grandchildren, Tiffany Fiorillo, Christopher Jacobs, and Erin Hill; four great-grandchildren, Riley, Ronin, Easton, and Maeve; along with nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

 

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 20, 2023, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Godby, WV where military graveside rites will be conducted.  Pallbearers will include Lance Coleman, Christopher Jacobs, Robert (Jr) Jacobs, Jackie Chafin, and James Dawson. 

 

Family and friends may gather with the family Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Collins Funeral Home Inc. of Switzer, WV.
