Napoleon Burris II

September 20, 1944 — December 28, 2020

Napoleon was an Alumni of Aracoma High School where he participated in every sport under the Great Coach Lacy Smith. He enjoyed attending their annual School Reunion.

A retired coal miner, Napoleon worked various jobs throughout Logan County.  His hobbies included collecting sports trading cards and watching all types of sports.

Brother Burris accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized in Jesus’ Name under the Leadership and Ministry of  his Pastor Bishop Rocine Jackson.  For years he has served faithfully at the Original Glorious Church, Whitman, WV as a videographer, chaperone and personal driver assisting his pastor.  He occasionally was called upon to minister and exhort the Word of God, served as program coordinator and worked with the youth ministry.

His testimony was “I Really Love The Lord”.  And GOD really loved him too.... so much so, to allow him back into the fold even after going astray!  What a Mighty, Magnificent, and Merciful GOD we serve.

On Monday, December 28,2020, God dispatched His angel to retrieve the soul of His child whom he saw in agony and pain.... and said “Enough”... and gave eternal rest.
