Napoleon Burris II

Napoleon was an Alumni of Aracoma High School where he participated in every sport under the Great Coach Lacy Smith. He enjoyed attending their annual School Reunion.

A retired coal miner, Napoleon worked various jobs throughout Logan County.  His hobbies included collecting sports trading cards and watching all types of sports.

Brother Burris accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized in Jesus’ Name under the Leadership and Ministry of  his Pastor Bishop Rocine Jackson.  For years he has served faithfully at the Original Glorious Church, Whitman, WV as a videographer, chaperone and personal driver assisting his pastor.  He occasionally was called upon to minister and exhort the Word of God, served as program coordinator and worked with the youth ministry.

His testimony was “I Really Love The Lord”.  And GOD really loved him too.... so much so, to allow him back into the fold even after going astray!  What a Mighty, Magnificent, and Merciful GOD we serve.

On Monday, December 28,2020, God dispatched His angel to retrieve the soul of His child whom he saw in agony and pain.... and said “Enough”... and gave eternal rest.

Our beloved brother leaves to cherish his memories and legacy, yet saddened by his passing, his current wife Kathleen and her two children; LaNita Bailey their daughters Kimberly And Khristy Burris; Joyce Burris their son

To the family and friends of Napoleon Burris II, my deepest sympathies to you all in the loss of this god-fearing man. One of the things I will miss about him is his smile and laughter, it was infectious. He came to Nashville in 2012 and visited us all here. He wanted to see the Titans Stadium, he was so excited about touring Tennessee. In 2017, in Alabama, was my last face-to-face time with him at the Burris, Jackson, and Woods family reunion...What I will miss is his warm spirit and that I will not have another phone conversation with him or receive his greeting cards during the holiday. I know God's plans are perfect and His plans for Napoleon were all accomplished. You are all in my prayers, Sincerely, Cousin Vivian Miller
