Mistie Dawn (Blankenship) Biddell

Mistie Dawn (Blankenship) Biddell, 48 of Wharncliffe, WV departed this life on Friday, June 19, 2026. She was born on December 6, 1977, in Logan, WV and was the daughter of the late Tommy Clark Blankenship and Rose Mary “Teresa” (Lester) Blankenship.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Timmy “Timmy Joe” Adam Smith.

She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, including fishing, walking, and other outdoor activities. She enjoyed crafting, shopping, and, most of all, spending quality time with her family and friends.

She was a member of the Gilbert High School Class of 1996. She earned her degree in Pathology from Columbus University, graduating cum laude. She dedicated her professional career to healthcare, serving as a Pathologist Assistant at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio before moving back to Gilbert in 2008.

Those left to cherish her loving memory includes her daughter, Tierra Biddell (Matthew Browning); son, Ian Tucker Hatfield; sisters, Georgetta (Carlos) Mounts and Cynthia Blankenship (Jeff Browning); brothers, Justin Blankenship and Malcom Blankenship; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, June 26, 2026, with a funeral service starting at 6:00 pm at the chapel of Collins Funeral Home in Switzer, WV with Rev. James Runyon officiating.
