Melvin Omar Hammontree

Melvin Hammontree, 54 of Cora, WV departed this life on Friday, October 17, 2025. He was born on January 19, 1971, in Dalton, GA to Melvin Hanes and Betty Dailey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Hanes; cousins, Melinda Dailey, Katelyn Dailey, Randy Dailey, Trey Dailey, and Kyle Dailey.

He worked for National Armature.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his mother, Betty Dailey; two sisters, Angie Dailey, and Connie Smith; cousin, Randy Dailey; and a host of other family and friends who will all love and miss him.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Switzer, WV.

In honoring his wishes, he will be cremated after the visitation.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Collins Funeral Home, Inc. of Switzer, WV.
