Mary Elizabeth Hunt

Mary Elizabeth Hunt, 101 of Logan, WV departed this life on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at her residence. She was born on June 28, 1925, in Braeholm, WV and was the daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Dean. She was the wife of the late George Ed Hunt; mother of the late, George Hunt, Jr., Early Mae Martin, and Andrew Edward Hunt; her brothers and one sister, Arthur Dean, Junior Dean, Pete Dean, Charlie Dean, Oswald Dean, and Lorean Wade.

She was of the Baptist faith and attended Cole Street Missionary Baptist Church in Aracoma, WV.

Those left to cherish her loving memory includes her daughter, Betty Day of Logan, WV; grandchildren, Candy Martin of Chillicothe, OH, Crystal Martin of Chillicothe, OH, April Day of Logan, WV, Randall Day of Port Richey, FL, and Aledra Hunt of Evansville, IN; great grandchildren, Adriana Day of Orlando, FL, Kaitlynn (Jordan) Workman of Logan, WV, Ashton Day of Port Richey, FL, Jada Day of California, and Tamia (William) Mace of Logan, WV; great-great grandchildren, Vanessa Workman, Braylon Workman, Casey Workman, Theo Workman, Kaydence Mace, and Allion Mace all of Logan, WV; nephew, Robert Lee Williams of Huntington, WV; and niece, Dawn Dunson of Pensacola, FL.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 4th, 2026, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV.
