Marvin Brown

Marvin Brown, 70 of Holden, WV departed this life on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at his residence. He was born on March 20, 1955, and was the son of Ruth Brand and the late Orlin Carter.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his mother, Ruth Brand; daughter, Sharekia Brown (Craig Vinson) and their daughter, I’yanna; son, Alan Clarke (Nastasha Pryor) and their daughters, Yasiya and Yara; granddaughter, Pierra Sherrod, daughter of Shatekia Brown (R.I.P); grandson, Zavion Brown, son of Jermaine Brown (R.I.P); best friend, LJ and Maggie Johnson (his Godson, Mylin Johnson); brother, Rufus and Tasha Richards (Angie and Andrea- daughters); sister, Vanetta Carter; uncle, Walter Brown, Jr.; uncle, Dr. Horlin “Bonnie” Carter, Sr.; uncle, Reginald “Bubbie” Carter; aunt, Jerrie Green; special friend, Michael Tolliver; ex-wife, Arlette Brown; and a host of friends and relatives.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Switzer, WV.
