Lynn Geraldine Jerry Johnson

Lynn Geraldine "Jerry" Johnson, 67, of Wilkinson peacefully departed this life at home on Saturday morning, November 7, 2015. She was born on November 24, 1947 in Barnabus to the late Oscar and Edna May Hale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James "Jimmy" Hale and her granddaughter Sarah Lynnea Johnson. Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 48 years, Elbert Johnson Jr.; children, Elbert (Eileen) Johnson III of Melville, Bryan (Crissi) Johnson of Monitor, and Courtney Johnson at home; grandsons, Joshua, Justin, Luke, and Caleb Johnson, siblings;  Rex (Barb) Hale and Ruthie Burdette of Indiana, Libbie Woodward, Lois Hale, and Kay (Wendall) Davis of Wyoming, and Gregory Hale of Utah, special friends, Faye Tackett, Francis Solomon, Jerry and Betty Adams and a host of friends and church family. Jerry loved the Lord with all her heart and attended the Church of God of Prophecy where she served the community as Pastor's wife and Sunday School teacher.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and cooking new recipes for her family and friends. She was very generous and would help anyone in need. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.  Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Church of God of Prophecy on Pine Street with Bishop Elbert Johnson Jr. and Preacher Bryan Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens @ Godby.  Visitation will be the same day two hours prior to the service at the Church.  Pallbearers will be family and Friends.  Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is in charge of the arrangements.  Condolences may be left @ www.collinsfuneralhomewv.com.
