Lucille Blevins

Lucille Blevins, 83 of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026. She was born November 27, 1942, in Glen Alum, WV, to Garland and Julie (Patrick) Dotson. Lucille found faith in her life as a Jehovah’s Witness. She was a devoted homemaker to her family as she raised her children. Lucille enjoyed dancing and had a passion for cars. She especially loved driving her 1979 Firebird. Lucille will be remembered as a loving and caring mother who will be dearly missed.

Lucille is survived by her children: Gloria Blevins Pate of Springfield, IL, Michael Blevins of Springfield, IL, and Jesse Blevins of Valparaiso, IN; grandson, Brandon Figueroa; sister, Faye; brother, Paul; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mack Blevins Jr., second husband, Charles Lamb, parents, and 13 siblings.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Highland Memory Gardens in Godby, WV.
