Lewis B. Marcum, Sr.

Lewis B. Marcum, Sr., born September 21st, 1970, in Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 20th, 2026. Lewis lived a life of adventure and had an incredible work ethic; he could do anything asked of him and more. He worked as a contractor/carpenter most of his life and would strive to always get a project done, exceeding your expectations. Lewis was full of life and enjoyed spending time with those around him. In his free time, he would ride a four-wheeler, have a beer with friends, or listen to CCR, his favorite band. He also enjoyed playing pool and playing video games with his sister.

He is survived by his daughter Shaelynn (Nathan) Shuck, son Lewis Marcum Jr., daughter Cassi (Levi) Thomas, and sister Melissa (Chris) Ellis. Grandchildren David Shuck, Isabella Shuck, and Kynslee Shuck; and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lutisha Crane; father, Connell Marcum; brother, Connell Ray Marcum.; and brother Roy Marcum.

Those who knew Lewie will remember him for his kindness, adventurous side and his authentic hillbilly chaos. He will be deeply missed.

Lewie’s wishes were to be cremated and celebrate life at a later date. He will be laid to rest in the Marcum Cemetery in Logan, WV.
