Leonard Dewayne Hobbs, 58, of Logan, WV, passed away at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV on November 25th, surrounded by the love of his family.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved man who brought so much light and laughter into the lives of everyone around him. His humor was effortless. He had a gift for making people smile — even on their hardest days. He was a cherished father, friend, and companion whose joyfulness touched all who knew him. He had a special love for his coffee and purple gummy bears that we are sure God had waiting for him when he got there.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Arbutus Green; his father, Leonard S Hobbs; and two brothers; Ernest Green and Delmer Green.

Those left to cherish his memory includes his daughters; Paige Hobbs and Polly Hobbs of Logan, WV; grandchildren, Carter Duncan and Liliana Kiser of Logan, WV; brothers, Larry Hobbs of Logan, WV, Gary Hobbs of Logan, WV, and Elmer Green of Logan, WV; sisters, Pamela Cooper of Logan, WV, Brenda Hobbs of Logan, WV, and Marilyn Benedict of Hopkinsville, KY; his companion, Leanne Curnette of Logan, WV; and several nieces and nephews that he loved like his own.

In honor of his wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Collins Funeral Home, Inc. to cover the cremation expense.
