Lee Sipple

February 6, 1942 — April 30, 2015

Lee Sipple, 73 of Logan, formerly of McConnell gained his heavenly reward on Thursday, April 30, 2015. He was born February 06, 1942 in Glen Allen, WV. He retired as a WV State Mine Inspector in 2005 after 30 years of service.  In his ten years of retirement, Lee loved teaching Mining classes for West Virginia and Kentucky, fishing with his special buddy, Richard (Dickie) Curtis and harvesting ginseng in the local mountains.  He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Deloris (Abbott) Sipple formerly of Dehue, WV, his four daughters; Cindy (Henry) Damron of Chapmanville, Teresa (William) Miller of Moultrie, Georgia, Karen (Michael) Yost of Whitman, Rachel (Vernon Jr.) Dingess of Switzer and one adopted daughter, Lynn Ellis of Chapmanville.  He is also survived by his siblings Billy (Brenda) Sipple, Roger (Loraine) Sipple, Christine (Gary) Evans, Dorothy (Danny) Murray, Barbara Lloyd and Mary (Raymond) Fleming.  He is preceded in death by his brother Rev. Homer Sipple and Brother-in-Law, Dee Lloyd and his parents LeRoy and Minnie Sipple.  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Tracie (Damron) Kirk, H. Austin Damron, Tyler Lee Sipple, Brittany Dawn Vance, Karrington Cline, Jeffrey Allen Cline, Brenton Michael Miller and Asheley Nicole Miller and 9 great-grandchildren; Joseph Wade Kirk, Dawson Grant Kirk, Kierce R. Thompson, David Lee Cline, Jeffrey Allen Cline Jr., Samuel Lee Miller, William Michael Miller, Olivia Jaylyn Rogers and KaRonda Miller and a host of nieces and nephews.  Services will be conducted by Rev. Donnie Wells, a long-time family friend on Sunday, May 03, 2015 at the Monahill Memorial Freewill Baptist Church.  Public visitation will be at 2 :00 PM and service will begin at 3:00 PM. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum.  Pallbearers will be H. Austin Damron, Tyler Lee Sipple, Jeffrey Cline, Fredrick Dingess, Jeremiah Carter and Vernon Dingess Jr.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Sipple, Roger Sipple, Gary Evans and long-time friend Richard (Dickie) Curtis.  Collins Funeral Home of Switzer is in charge of the arrangements.
