Kathy Lynn (Stevens) Street

Kathy Lynn (Stevens) Street, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Logan Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born on August 26, 1954, in Logan, WV, Kathy was a woman of faith, humor, and generous spirit. She graduated from Bellflower High School in Bellflower, CA. Kathy found joy in the simple pleasures of life—a good piece of chocolate, a sweet pastry, and the thrill of a lucky pull at the slot machines.

Her family was the heart of her world. As a devoted mother and proud grandmother, she never missed a birthday and always had a kind word and sage advice. Her sense of humor and gentle wisdom left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Kathy will be dearly missed but forever remembered for her sweet tooth, her lucky streak, and the unconditional love she gave to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her ex-husband and lifelong best friend, Danny Street; her mother, Elsie Stevens; her father, George Stevens; her sisters Stella McNeely, Lou Ann Scaggs, Sue Hatfield, Nancy Stevens, and Peggy Stevens; and her brothers Bob Stevens and Pat Stevens.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Street; her grandchildren, Alera and Elijah Messer; her nieces, Jeri McNeely, and Allison Stevens; her nephews, Darin McNeely and Toni Franco; her sister, Sue Hatfield; her beloved dog, Coco; and many other close friends and extended family members who will carry her memory in their hearts.

In honoring her wishes, there will be no funeral services.

The family will be scheduling a memorial service at a later date.
