James Welch Lusher Jr.

James Welch Lusher Jr., departed this life on Saturday, July 18th, 2020 at Pikeville Medical Center. James was born in Salt Rock, WV to the late James and Betty Lusher. He loved telling jokes and spending time with his family and friends. He was in the Marine Corps Special Forces and served in the Vietnam War.

James is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth Lusher and grandson, Wyatt Lusher.

James is survived by two sons, James (Yolanda) Lusher II and Woodrow Lusher; one daughter, Lisa (David) Wiley; seven grandchildren, David Wiley II, Kenneth (Sarah) Wiley, Devin (Sydney) Wiley, James Lusher II, William Cody Lusher, Morgan Lusher, and Jonah Lusher; two great grandchildren, Kensley and Collen Wiley; a great grandchild on the way and a special friend, Donna Workman; two sisters, Patricia Hotchsteth and Shem Wentz.

The family will hold a memorial service for him at 1:00 pm Thursday, July 23rd, 2020 at Anna Queen Cemetery at Ferrellsburg, WV.
