James Edward Hughes
James Edward Hughes, 75, of Barnabus WV, went home to be with the Lord in April 2024. He was found at home on Saturday April 14th 2024.
He was born on March 7th 1949 in Logan, WV. In addition to his mother and father, Willa Mae Hughes (Chambers) and Eugene Hughes, he was proceeded in death by many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins on the Hughes and Chambers side of his family as well as his Father-in-law Clerance Milliron, Mother-in-law June Milliron , brother-in- law C.A. Milliron IiI, and Uncle Stan Thorne.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Bonnie Hughes (Milliron), one sister, Karen Conley, one son, James S. Hughes, one step-daughter, Kelli Milliorn, and his faithful Dog Buddy, who remained by him until the very end. Jim is also survived by his Sisters-in-law Alice (Tina) Milliron, Barbara Milliron and Lee DeMattia, his nephews Robert Demattia, Nick Milliron and wife Laura Milliron,' his niece Olivia Demattia, and an Aunt Twyla Thorne as well great nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends who will fondly recall the memories and good times shared with Jim over a lifetime.
Jim was a graduate of Logan High School, the recipient of an Associate's degree from Southern West Virginia Community College, and a graduate of Barber College (Huntington WV).
Jim enjoyed his work as a Barber, Gardening and meeting people.
Jim professed a belief in his risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and attended his local church Christian Fellowship Church of God with his wife when able.
Pallbearers will include members of the family and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday April 18th 2024 from 3 PM to 5 PM at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor CD Wolford performing services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Collins Funeral Home, Inc. of Switzer, WV.
