With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Jacqueline Olbert, affectionately known as “Jackie” or “Auntie Jackie.” Jacqueline departed this life on June 27, 2025, at the age of 65, surrounded by love at Logan Regional Hospital.

Jackie was a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend. She lived her life with extraordinary warmth, compassion, and grace. Her home and heart were always open, and she made everyone feel welcome, heard, and deeply valued. Her love was a shelter and her smile, a comfort.

Jackie dedicated her life to caring for others, proudly serving as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. Her nurturing spirit also extended into her passion for modeling and her most treasured role: being a mother and grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy, and her love for them was unconditional and unwavering.

She is survived by her beloved husband, James Olbert, whom she loved dearly, and her children: Charlie Boatwright, Erica Boatwright, Denise Boatwright, and her stepson Curtis Olbert.

Jackie was a proud grandmother to: Trice Boatwright, Destiny Workman, Romeo Johnson, Kalisha Boatwright, Emily Boatwright, Charlie Boatwright III, and Kayla Boatwright.

She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy: Se’Kani St. John, Ka’Von St. John, Ki’Aire St. John, Tre’Mir Boatwright, Haiden Boatwright, Avery Boatwright, Hosea Boatwright, and Adrian Boatwright.

Jackie’s legacy continues through her loving siblings: Robert “Toopie” Knox, Rosalyn Lee Knox, and Felicia Knox, as well as her dear sisters-in-law: Gloria Olbert and Jacqueline Olbert.

She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends all of whom she loved deeply and who will forever cherish her memory.

A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Collins Funeral Home, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM and services from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral procession will follow to her final resting place at Highland Garden Memorial Cemetery – Praying Hands Section.

To know Jackie was to truly love her. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love lives on in each of us. She will be missed beyond words but never forgotten.

“Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”
