Jackie Rayburn New, 56 of Baisden, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at his residence. He was born on July 19, 1970, in Logan County, WV and was the son of Vinia Mae (Morgan) New and the late Rayburn New.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Criag New; sister, Teena Hatfield; maternal grandparents, Mary and Ted Morgan; paternal grandparents, Naomi and Boyd New; brother-in-law, Arville Hatfield; and sister-in-law, Diane New.
He enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his daughter, Kesha Ellis; grandchildren, Brylan and Acacia Justus; his mother, Vinia Mae New; siblings, Drema (Gerry) Carter, Rita New, Danna (Jeffrey) Thompson, Patty (Jessie) Hatfield, Edward (Tiffany) New, and Brian (Berronica) New; brother in law, Billy (Angie) Hatfield; his home health nurse, Crystal Cline; his buddies, Rick Gibson, "Big John” New, and Eddie New; and a host of other family and friends who will all love and miss him.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer at Hampden, WV with Rev. Rocky Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in New Cemetery in Baisden, WV. Pallbearers will include Alton New, Ivan New, John New, Zach Hatfield, Craig Cline, William Hatfield, Brandon Hatfield, Joseph New, and BJ Hatfield. Honorary pallbearers will include Rick Gibson, Bobby New, and Anthony Gibson.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service starting at 3:00 pm.
In consideration of his mother and her dementia, the family respectfully asks that guests refrain from discussing his passing with her. Your understanding and compassion during this difficult time are sincerely appreciated.
