Helen Sabo Welch Adkins, 81 of Whitman, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior who she loved dearly on Monday, November 4th, 2019 at Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan, WV. She was born on December 12th, 1937 at Ethel, WV. Helen was a member of McConnell Tabernacle. Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pete (Julia) Sabo of Whitman, WV; her beloved husband, Bernie Adkins Jr. who was waiting for her in Heaven; four brothers, Alex (Doris) Sabo, Julius (Maxie) Sabo, Frankie (Ruby) Sabo, Joe (Pat) Sabo who was her best friend; two sisters, Margaret (Bill) Conn and Irene (Andy) Olah.
Those left to cherish her memory includes her two sons, Pete (Lynn) Welch of Whitman, WV and Christopher Lee Adkins of Verdunville, WV who she loved with all of her heart; one brother, Bill (late Virginia) Sabo of Whites Addition, WV; two special nieces, Barbara (Bobbie) Stambaugh of Whitman, WV and Patty Wells of Huntington, WV; grandson, Micky Endicott of Monaville, WV; grandchildren of Kentucky, Matt and Alexis Adkins, Cara Kay Risener (her pride and joy) of Kentucky; two step children of Kentucky, Angie and Bernie Adkins; five grandkids, Brianna and Britney Welch, Lori, Zoey, and Emma Adkins (her angels and her pride and joy;) and a special friend, Ralph Bailey.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joseph Vance and Rev. Keith McClung officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV.
