HAZEL ABEL ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Hazel Darnall Kirby Abel was carried from her home to heaven in the gentle hands of Gods angels to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Born September 1, 1951,She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Margie "Nanny" Kirby. She was also preceded in death by one brother: Anthony Kirby.Survivors include three daughters: Vickie Abel, Kelly (Cliff) Hilterbrand, and Sheila (Steve) Talkington; three brothers: Fred (Jan) Kirby, Danny (Dorothy) Murray, and Bob (Pam) Kirby, and sister, Shirley (Keith) McElroy. She was known as Memaw to eight grandchildren: Michael, Scott, Stephen, Rachael, Abigail, Jacob, Benjamin, and Dazey Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 21, at Collins Funeral Home at Switzer. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.Visitation will begin at noon Monday at the funeral home.
