George Gregory Mullins, 68, of Monaville, WV passed from this life on Monday, November 15th, 2021, in Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division surrounded by his family after a brief illness.
George was the son of Harvey and Ruth Mullins and was born in Logan County on November 25th, 1953. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Mary Mullins, and Bryan and Irene Vance; brother, Larry David Mullins; wife, Rebecca Mullins; infant daughter, Jamie Lynn Mullins; infant son, George Gregory II; and an infant great nephew, David Anthony Allen.
George is survived by his wife, Michelle Mullins; daughter, Morgan Mullins; step-daughter, Nikki Ellis (Lester Farmer); grandchildren, Lillie May, Noah, and Parker; father-in-law, Robert Miller; mother-in-law, Darla Miller; sister-in-laws, Darlina (Sean) Oversen, Jennifer (James) Gross, and Mary (Johnathan) Libscomb; brother-in-laws, Robert (Vanessa) Miller, and Mark Miller; brother, John (Debra) Mullins; sister, Drema (Greg) Bates; nephews, Bill (Angie) Mullins, Chris (Jodi) Mullins; Stephen (Jennifer) Mullins, and Justin (Jennifer) Bates; nieces, Kimmi Mullins and Carrie (Jess) Allen; and a good friend to George and Michelle, Jennifer Cline.
George attended Monaville Grade School and Logan Junior High were he was active in basketball and track, football manager, and graduated from Logan High School in 1972 where he participated with the Logan High Band for the Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. After graduation, he was formerly employed at Belva Coal Company before becoming self-employed as a carpenter and property owner. George was of the Baptist faith and attended Monahill Memorial Freewill Baptist Church where he was married.
George had a kind, loving, and giving spirit. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed watching Morgan in her activities and sports, playing and joking with grandkids, great nephews and nieces, his animals and faithful travel buddy his dog, Lucy.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, November 19th, 2021, at Monahill Memorial Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Joseph Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Pallbearers will include Zach Gross, James Gross, Lester Farmer, Perry England, Bill Mullins, Chris Mullins, Stephen Mullins, Justin Bates, and Jess Allen.
A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Collins Funeral Home Inc. of Switzer, WV.
