George Robert "Stumpy" Lee

George Robert Lee - “Stumpy”, 70 of Logan, WV (formerly of Fairmont, WV) peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on April 29th, 2025. He was born on December 6th, 1954, to Gladys Maddox, and the late George Lee Sr. 

Stumpy worked and retired with Pepsi Co after 28 years. In addition to his day job, he coached football. He also spent some of his time living in Ohio, where he worked for the state road. 

He was a former Mason of East Gate Lodge 33, of Omar, WV for many years. 

In his free time, he loved to fish, and spend time with all of his children and grandchildren. 

In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Ira and Marie Lee; sisters Francene Moore, Sonya Maddox, and Sonita Maddox; brother Leon “Peanut” Maddox; and his stepson, Raymond Rushawn Knox. 

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory are his life companion of 39 years, Rosalyn Lee; his daughter, Tamara Myeisha Lee; his son, Leland Coats; his stepchildren, Prinica Knox and Lovarsha Knox; grandchildren, Tatiana Knox, Jameeya Knox, Jamyya Knox, Ceontanesha Knox, Jayla Knox, Taliyah Knox, Tyquell Knox, Raymond Knox, Fred Badger, and a special grandson Khaiyn Bryant; great-grandchildren Cataleya Badger, Oaklynn Badger, and Akaiyo Knox; and a host of many nieces, nephews, and great friends.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Switzer, WV.
