Freddie Franklin Curnutte

Freddie Franklin Curnutte, 56 of Monaville, WV passed away on October 1st, 2025. 

Freddie enjoyed ginsenging, playing his guitar, dancing, reading the Bible, and spending time with his pet companion, Tiny. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Akers; one brother, Jeff Curnutte; special aunt, Mildred Curnutte; and his maternal grandparents, Jay and Virginia Curnutte. 

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Diana and John May; one brother, Lawrence (Bubby) May; three sisters, Cindy Herndon, Kimberly May, and Johnnie Lynn May. A host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scottie Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV. Pallbearers will be Lawrence “Bubby” May, Brandon Herndon, Austin Ison, Andrew Mullins Jr., Kevin Mullins, and Jaxon Mullins.

A visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service.
