Frances Jewel Damron

April 25, 1947 — May 22, 2025

Verdunville, WV

Frances Jewel Damron was reunited with her husband of 37 years on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025. She had long awaited this day.

Frances was the humblest person. She would spend most of her days reading her Bible or her Christian based Amish books. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her would tell you how much she loved her TV shows; some of her favorites include: Judge Judy, The Price is Right, Let’s Make a Deal, The Voice, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. Every Sunday, she was sure to have her own church service in her home. She had a passion for traveling. She enjoyed helping others. She donated monthly to the Shriner Kids and the St. Jude Research. Her home is where everyone gathered for occasions and holidays. She was the best cook and anyone who had the pleasure of eating her cooking, would compliment how great her food truly was. Those who had the pleasure of meeting Frances would speak how wonderful she was. She was the true definition of the “glue” to the family.

Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Ira Damron; mother, Mollie Marie Bryant; father, Arnold Lee Tomblin; brother, Leo Tomblin; sister, Ann Browning; special nephew, Virgil Browning; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Those left to cherish her memories includes her two sons, Richard (Angie Chafin) Damron and Randall (Brandy Sargent) Damron; her previous daughters in law, Melissa Coleman Jeffery and Missy Damron; her grandchildren, Shawna (Jeremy) Workman, Chase (Ashton) Damron, Ty (Cheyenne) Damron, Kionna (Michael Miller) Damron, Coltin Damron, Sophie Damron, and Hope (Daniel) Topping; her great grandchildren, Breylin Workman, Waylon Damron, Makinzlee Evans, Saylor Damron, Laklynn Damron, Krew Evans, Remington Damron, Serenity Topping, and Judah Topping; her nieces/sisters, Kathy (Gary Vandenline) Tomblin, and Connie Baisden; her brothers and sisters in law, Vicky (Randy) Frye, Phyllis Tomblin, Roger (Mary Lou) Damron, John (Tammy) Damron, Jack (Georgetta) Damron, Kenny (Morgan) Damron; her close cousin, Irene (Denvil) Trent; Lana Bishop whom she held dear to her heart; and she would like to include a host of cousins, family, and friends.
