Flossie Mae (Johnston) Cook of Omar, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at home. She was the loving wife of Earl Lee Cook for 48 years. She was born on March 21, 1953, a daughter of Andrew Hale and Mamie Blankenship Johnston. Flossie was preceded in death by one son; Andrew Edward Cook and one daughter; Christina Dawn Whitt, and four sisters; Hazel Johnston, Mary Kinder, Effie Kirk and Youvon Johnston, two brothers; Delbert Johnston and Lockard Johnston. She was a homemaker. Those left to cherish her memory in addition of her loving husband, is one son; Earl Lee Cook Jr., one granddaughter; Kalen (John) Mitchell, and grandsons; Noah Lee Cook, Michael (Angela) Ward and Dustin Earl Whitt, two great granddaughter; Jenna Marie Cook and Brooklynn Ward, two great grandsons; Andrew James Mitchell and Malachi Ward, two sisters; Garnet Depta and Anna Beebe, three brothers; Hale Bill (Sharon) Johnston, Roy (Donna) Johnston, and Timothy Johnston, and one son-in-law; Darian Whitt. Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday March 2, 2018 at Crossroads Community Church at Chapmanville. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday March 3, 2018 also at the church with New Highway Singers and Pastor John Wiley officiating. Burial will follow in at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The arrangements have been entrusted to Collins Funeral Home of Switzer, WV.
