Ernest Ray Thomas Kennedy

Ernest Ray (Thomas) Kennedy, 68 of Holden, WV departed this life Monday April 13, 2015 in CAMC General Division Hospital in Charleston.  He was born in Holden, WV to the late Henry and Goldie (Adkins) Thomas.  He was a retired Coal Miner and a member of the UMWA and NRA. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his grandparents, one son; Ernest Ray Kennedy Jr., a wife Donna Noe Kennedy, one sister; Betty Frye, and eight brothers; Kenneth, Earl, Gilbert “Whitey”, Johnny, Steve, Jimmy, Frank and Walter Kennedy. Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter; Terri Kennedy, a companion; Cathy J. Dingess, three brothers; Bill and Charlie Thomas and Roger Kennedy, two sisters; Polly Pack and Mary Southers, and four grandchildren; Rondale Kennedy, Ryan Busick, Austin Ray Kennedy and Bailey Rae Kennedy. Services will be held Noon Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Layton Lockhart officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
