Effie Marie Castle

Effie Marie Castle, 83, of Micco, WV, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 31st, 2021, at her residence. She was born on September 6th, 1938, in Logan, WV to the late Walden and Sarah (Mullins) Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Castle; stillborn son, Paul Clinton Castle; brothers, Milton Thompson, Melvin Thompson, Tommy Thompson, Frank Thompson, William Thompson, and Willard Thompson; and sisters, Belle Conner, Louise Jeffrey, Luanna Creakman, and Weathia Thompson She was a member of Hillcrest Freewill Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her loving memory includes one son, Danny (Garnet Williams) Castle; grandchildren, Benji Castle, Maryann Shepherd, Danielle Castle, and Johnathan Castle; great grandson, Rugger Stinett; special friends, Bonnie Bevins, Trish White Tomblin, Sharey White, Janice Stone, and Carlene Mowery Boggs; and a host of other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, January 7th, 2022, at Hillcrest Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Nelson officiating and Rev. Jay May reading the obituary. Burial will follow in Thompson Branch Cemetery in Harts Creek, WV. Pallbearers will include Brian Lowe, Danny Castle, Jackie Crile, Matthew Crile, Samuel Ray, Kevin Fisher, and Ronald Sparks.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, January 6th, 2022, also at the church.
