Denise Cathine Nelson

Denise Cathine Nelson, 70 of Logan, WV passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, August 28th at Greeneville Community Hospital in Greeneville, TN. She was born to the late Bill and Loretta (Lovell) Nelson on July 15th, 1955 in Huntington, WV.

She was a teacher for over 30 years, and retired from Logan County Board of Education.

Those left to cherish her memories include one son, Adam Hall; one daughter, Miranda Hall, one grandson, Nathaniel Noll; one brother, Billy Nelson; one sister, Pam (Bob) Copley; one special niece, Adrienne (Jeremy) Livingood and their son, Parker Livingood; one special nephew, Nicholas (Becky) Copley and their son, Ashton Copley.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Hillcrest Freewill Baptist Chapel in Micco, WV. A funeral service will follow at 6:00pm with Pastor Scott Nelson officiating.

Denise’s wishes were to be cremated after services.
