Debra Sue Browning Perry, 70, of Cow Creek WV, peacefully entered the gates of Heaven and was reunited with those loved ones gone before her on Friday, August 4, 2023, at HospiceCare at CAMC while being surrounded by her family. She was born January 23, 1953, at Logan, WV, to the late Rev. Arville Arden and Mary Ruth (Trent) Browning.
 
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Garrett Perry; one sister: Delana R. Jude; and two brothers: Arville Arden (Ricky) Browning Jr, and Dennis Browning.
 
Debra was a graduate of Logan High School and attended Southern WV Community College where she obtained a degree in nursing. She was a Registered Nurse for Man Community Hospital, ARH Home Health, but had spent the last 17 years working for St. Francis Hospital in Charleston. Debbie was known as “Maw” to a lot of her family, especially her nieces and nephews, which she loved dearly. Debbie faithfully attended the Monahill Memorial Freewill Baptist Church.
 
Debra's beaming smile and memory will forever be cherished by one daughter: Daphne (Ted) Malinowski of Lexington, NC; one son, Brandon (Kim) Varney of Cow Creek; two grandsons; Russell (Brandi Leigh) Caudill of Marshville, NC and Luke Malinowski of Lexington, NC; three granddaughters: Marissa (Skeeter Neighbors) Caudill of Leicester, NC, Brandi Laws and Jayla Smith of Cow Creek; and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Brenda Browning, of San Antonio, TX, Wanda (Gary) Damron, and Carla (Greg) Ramey, both of Wilkinson, WV; and one brother: Keith Browning, of San Antonio, TX; and a host of other family and friends. Debbie will truly be missed by all those who were blessed to have known her.
 
Debra’s wishes were to be cremated.
 
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held for Debra and her late husband, Garrett, at a later date.
 
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Collins Funeral Home, Inc. of Switzer, WV.
