David Lee Tomblin
DAVID LEE TOMBLIN of Wilkinson passed away June 29, 2020 after a brief illness. He was a Vietnam Veteran and Purple Heart recipient who served as an Aircraft Propeller Repairman in the US Air Force from 1970 till he was wounded in 1973. Once returning home to WV he spent years volunteering for various Veterans organizations across WV and working as an electrician at Bill’s Electronics. He later went on to open his own business T&T Electronics. Once he retired his passion became cooking. No-one ever left hungry.
David was preceded in death by his parents Willie Tomblin and Iva (Bates) Tomblin of Logan WV and Fred and Lula Richards of Logan.
Left to cherish his memory: his wife of 41 years Kay Tomblin, his children Trish (Dan) Pimentel of Lathrop MO, David (Cassie) Tomblin of Chauncey WV, Lisa (Steven) Hall of Wilkinson WV, Chantel Burton of Switzer WV, and Kelly (Richard) Ojeda of Holden, WV.
His Grandchildren Miranda Marcum (Quincy) Taylor, Alex Marcum, David Tomblin III, Adriana Fields, Chandra Fields, Mackenzie Hall, Madison Hall, Matthew Hall, Richard Ojeda III, Kayla Ojeda, and McKennon (Jordan) Cordes.
Great Grandchildren: Jazlyn Gaiter, Maddox Knox, Lennox Knox, Sonny Taylor, and Jasper Taylor.
Special extended family members: Caitlin Drakos, Caden and Jordan. Also his fur baby Bubba Clyde.
Collins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements, there will be no visitation, a brief graveside service will be held 12:00 pm Thursday, July 2nd, 2020 at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, WV.
Honorary Pallbearers will be David Lee Tomblin II, David Lee Tomblin III, Richard N Ojeda the II, Richard N Ojeda the III, Steven Hall, and Gino Pansera.

I have known David for 60 years. I have lot of good memories of him. When we were about 12 we did Sleeping beauty play. He played Sleeping Beauty. He used to tie his dog to a bicycle when was A boy and His dog pull him. He always liked a good laugh. We will always love David. Things will never be the same without him.
We are so sorry for your lose of one so dear to you. But long as you Live he will Live on. Now we leave him In the hands of the Almighty God. What better handS could we leave him in . REVELATION 21: 3,4,5. Heart felt prayer go out to DavidS family and friends. Good-Bye to you Dear friend until we meet again.
