David Collins

Dave Collins, 57 of Charleston, WV went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston, WV. He was born on October 6, 1966, in South Korea to his wonderful parents the late Jeffrey Collins, Sr. and Yu-On Collins.

Dave spent the majority of his life talking and meeting new people. He truly never met a stranger and could get along with just about anyone. He was a man of many hobbies, snowboarding, golfing, and fly fishing to name a few. Dave loved the West Virginia Mountaineers and all things sports.

He worked for Balzout for about 20 years before venturing out and finally opening his own company, Balance Clothing Company that he cherished and loved.

Dave is survived by his life partner, Lisa Collins, and children Blue and Ruby of Philadelphia, PA; mother, Yu-On Collins; brothers, Kim Collins of Logan, WV and Jeffrey (Monica) Collins, Jr. of Charleston, WV; two aunts, Sandra K. Drummer of Shamrock, WV and Marguerite Trammell of Shamrock, WV; honorary children, Will and Amelia Evans; nephews and nieces, Jalen Collins, Jada J. Hairston, Kariya Collins, Nevaeh Seals, Ja’Kiya Collins, Penelope Broughton, and Atticus C. Broughton; and a host of cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, March 2, 2024, at St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church (1 Dream Street Logan, WV 25601). Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV.

A visitation will begin two hours prior to the funeral service at 10:00 am.
