On the day of his death, the sun was bright, and there was a beautiful spring breeze. We opened the French doors of his room, and he gazed at the light as the sun glowed on his face and the wind swept over his body. A gorgeous red cardinal landed on the rocker just outside his door, and as if looking inside before turning to fly away. We knew at that moment it was his loving soulmate calling him home to be with her again.
