Charles Ray Smith, 68 of Ethel, WV, departed this life on Monday, October 6th, 2025 at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 1st, 1957, to the late Albert and Freda (Dean) Smith in Logan, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Melinda Dailey; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Dailey, Ryan Dailey, Trey Dailey, and William Smith; two brothers, Albert Smith Jr. and Denny Smith; two sisters, Freda Smith and Sonya Barker; two nephews, Pete Turner and Jinx Adkins; one niece, Trish Chafin; and one brother in law, Eddie Turner.

Those left to cherish his memories include his loving wife, Christina Smith; three sons, Charles Ray (Amara) Smith Jr., Charles Damian (Justina) Smith, and Charles Albert (Brittany) Smith; one daughter, Shanda Nichole (Bub) Smith; three sisters, Carol (Tim) McCauley, Lois Turner, and Kathy Adkins; 12 grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th, 2025, at 12:00pm at Collins Funeral Home Chapel.

A graveside service will follow at 1:30pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, WV with Pastor Gary Starr officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Collins Funeral Home, Inc. of Switzer, WV.
