Brenda Sue Johnson

Brenda Sue (Sias) Johnson, 72, of Chauncey went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2017 in Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville. She was born on October 15, 1945 at Lincoln, WV to the late Edgar Sias and Mary Crum.  She was a faithful member and servant of the Walnut Grove F.W.B. Church where she was also a Sunday school teacher for 45 years.  She was a Candy Striper at Logan General for many years and volunteered for the Auxiliary at Logan Regional Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, and her husband James Clifford “Jimmy” Johnson.  A one day service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2017 with visitation starting at noon with Pastor Charlie Blankenship officiating. She will be carried to her final resting place at Highland Memory Gardens by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an organization of your choice; Walnut Grove F.W.B Church, Beth Haven Christian School, or Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville. Guestbook

I am almost two years late in acknowledging Brenda's passing. I must say and agree with others that she was the kindest of people. She never forgot my birthday's and Holidays. She wrote often to tell me how she missed us. She was also a member and faithfully attended the Logan Gospel Tabernacle at Mt. Gay. She often expressed how much she missed our services and our preaching. I am so saddened by her passing, and even more saddened that I am today (Sept 4th 2019) knowing she is no longer with us. I had missed her cards and her letters...so much has happened in our family I must have missed seeing the obituary that Dena (Wiley) Miller sent me. I must say, I loved Brenda...one of God's Angels for sure.

Brenda and Jimmy were neighbors in Wilkinson, for many years. She was a care giver for my late father. He really loved her. I thought the world of her and she will be sadly missed. She was a great Christian and loving person. Gone to be with Jimmy and Jesus.

Sue was truly a loving, faithful servant of her Heavenly Father. She was such a special friend to my mother, Esther Lowe, and for that I will always feel like she was my friend too. May you Rest In Peace, Sue.
