July 1, 1938 — May 11, 2017

Betty Lambert , 78. of Omar passed away at Charleston General Hospital on Thursday, May 11, 2017. She was born on July 1, 1938, in Logan County to the late Rev. Walter and Gracie (Meadows) Lambert. In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death by 2 brothers Johnny and Ronnie Lambert and sibling twins; Harold and Carol Lambert, nieces Heather Grimmett and Emily Hall and one nephew Dolfard Lambert Jr.,

At the age of 13, Betty became a member of The Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church, establishing her future residence in Heaven and future re-unions with those who were eagerly waiting there.

Betty always had a servants heart that forever impacted many lives through her unselfish actions and her Christian service as a Sunday School and Youth league teachers. She leaves behind unforgettable memories of her in church as she played the piano and sang praises of God. She will also be remembered for the generous giving of herself by encouraging other people through her cards and letters, inviting and taking others to church and providing personal and spiritual care to the homebound and many others who greatly needed assistance.
