Betty Jo Taylor, “B.J.” to those who knew her, 58, of Rovers Branch, Varney, WV, passed peacefully at home on 18 January 2019.  B.J. was proceeded in death by James and Mary Taylor (parents), Karen Taylor (sister), and Jeremy Taylor (nephew).  B.J. is survived by siblings: James Taylor (Barbara), Norma Taylor, Matthew Taylor (Edwina), Barbara Fields (Thomas), Marietta Taylor, Mark Taylor, and Rebecca Hurley (Richard); nieces and nephews: Brittany Taylor, Mallory Glenn, Corbyn Fields, and Joseph Taylor; great nephew: Noah Glenn; special companion: Zorro.

 

Among B.J.’s many notable accomplishments in life:

Recruited by the F.B.I. to work in the field of Forensics
Backpacked alone across Europe for several months
Worked as a Dispatcher for Miami Dade E-911
Customer Service Management at First Advantage Corp.
I.T. Consultant / Engineer at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP

 

B.J. was highly intelligent, fiercely independent, a voracious reader, a quasi-effective O.C.D. gardener, and loved to explore and understand the world through her travels.She will be greatly missed.
