Barbara Malinda Baisden

Barbara Malinda (Vinson) Baisden 80, of Sarah Ann departed this life Saturday, August 19, 2017 in Pikeville Medical Center in KY. She was born July 10, 1937 in Wayne, WV to the Late Monzola and Alice Malissa (Smith) Vinson.  She was a homemaker and a very unique and caring person, that touched everyone’s life that she met. She appreciated everyone that stopped by and brought her chicken novelties to add to her collection.  One of her favorite things to do was to hunt Ginseng and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her grandparents, her husband Claude Baisden, two Brothers; Millard Filmore Vinson, William Jesse Vinson three Sisters Arzella Phiffer, Mimzee Lou ”Creasy” Mahon Adkins, Tilda Ann “Tootsie” Brewer and Geneva “Jenny” Mahon, two Daughters; Melinda “Sue” Baisden and Patricia “Gail” Baisden and two Granddaughters; Shana O’Neal and Haley Baisden.  Those left to cherish her memories are two Sons; Donald Ray Baisden of Whitman and Claude “Bubby” (Donetta) Baisden Jr., of Braeholm, two Daughter’s Nancy Baisden of McConnell and Cynthia “Cindy” D’Amore of Beckley, one Brother; Jim “Bo” Vinson of Cow Creek, one Sister; Edna Mae “Helen” Kavulick of Lenore, seven grandchildren; Meggan Baisden of Man, Taylor Helms of Logan, Brandi Miller of Holden, Arica Canterbury of Chapmanville, Randall “Derrick” O’Neal of Beckley, Darian Baisden of Lexington, KY and Savannah Sue Baisden of Whitman and eleven Great-Grandchildren.  Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Richard Belcher officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.   Visitation will be the same day starting at Noon at the Funeral Home.
