Alan "Sam or Daycab" Workman

Alan “Sam or Daycab” Workman, 61, of Verdunville, WV departed this life on Monday, June 7th, 2021 at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born to the late Elbert and Irene Workman in Logan, WV on May 6th, 1960. Alan worked as a truck driver for Kirk Trucking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sandra Workman; two sons, Allen Bradley and Donald Gibson; two daughters, Kiarra Sargent and Loretta Toppings; two sisters, Loretta Sargent and Carolyn Spaulding; seven grandchildren, Kaydance McNeely, Destiny McNeely, Nikolai Dempsey, Zayden Bradley, Kayci Toppings, Xander Suthard, and Cayde Toppings.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 13th, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Elbert Collins Jr. officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Frye’s Cemetery in Verdunville, WV. Pallbearers will include family and friends.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made towards the funeral services.

Collins Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements.

Remember Sam from late 90's - early 2000's worked for Teresa trucking with him.. Man,20 years ago last time I saw him, Disnt reconsize him by pic...Along with pooker, Monroe, chad cline, kon boy, Biscuit, Ron toller, Jeff browning, Ritchie laney,worm, No cline/ Compton, Steve, slim jim, mushie, doc, mike harpwr6, just to name a few, there was many more if the old gang of truck drivers ..many have sense passed on in the last 20 years.God bless Sam's family and give Pease in the rough times ahead with there loss.
