Aeryn Brooke Evans
Aeryn Brooke Evans, 3, of Wharncliffe WV, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Logan Regional Hospital. She was born on February 6, 2022, at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
Aeryn was a true warrior and hero to everyone who knew her. She bravely faced two critical health issues throughout her short life: Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Turner Syndrome, a rare genetic abnormality. Despite countless medical battles, including two open-heart surgeries and numerous other procedures, Aeryn approached every day with an unwavering smile. Her joyful spirit was an inspiration to many, and she quickly found herself surrounded by unconditional love. Everyone she met remarked that she was the happiest baby they had ever known. Aeryn was truly a miracle and will be deeply missed by all her loved ones.
She cherished her mommy and siblings deeply, and her world revolved around her Papaw and visits to his house. Aeryn adored her brother, Drake, happily chasing after him when he called "come on" and jumping into his arms to play. She loved sleeping with her big sisters, Kairi and AnnaLei, and watching their favorite shows together at bedtime. She delighted in crawling into Mommy and Daddy's bed for tickles and kisses. Aeryn absolutely loved watching Big City Greens and Bluey, often having them playing on every TV. Her paci was her favorite thing, and she was a big lover of her cat, Oreo. Though much of her life was spent in the hospital, she touched the hearts of everyone she encountered.
Aeryn is survived by her loving parents, Jessica Marie Evans and Scott Allen Evans; her devoted siblings, brother Adrien Drake Toler, and sisters Kairi Alice Marie Evans and AnnaLei Rayne Evans. She also leaves behind her cherished Papaw, Teddy Shane Toler, and Memaw, Jennifer Lei Toler. Everyone who met her loved her and she brought so much light into our lives. I can't begin to express the lasting impression she left on everyone's life. She was so, so sick, but she fought so, so hard, up until the point she couldn't anymore. My sweet baby girl, Mommy loves you always."
